Japan: frequency of feeling lonely by age group 2023

In a survey conducted from November 2022 to January 2023, respondents aged 20 to 29 in Japan were most likely to report feeling lonely sometimes or often. While about 7.1 percent of people in their twenties felt isolated frequently, only around 2.3 percent of respondents aged 80 years or above reported the same frequency of feeling lonely.
