Value and number of M&A investments in fintech in the Americas 2018-2023

In 2023, the total value of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals in the fintech sector in the Americas amounted to 50.6 billion U.S. dollars. This was slightly higher than in 2022. Between 2018 and 2023, the total value of M&A deals in the fintech sector in the Americas was highest in 2019 at 97.4 billion U.S. dollars. The number of deals, on the other hand, peaked in 2021, and dropped to 266 in 2023.
