Heat pump sales in Europe 2020-2022, by type
In 2020, air-to-air heat pumps were the segment with the highest number of sales in Europe, with over 670,600 units sold. That same year, there were 654,700 air-to-water heat pumps sold. However, air-to-water heat pumps were expected to become the industry segment with the highest volume of sales by 2022. It was also forecast that over two million air-to-air heat pumps will be sold in Europe in 2026.
