Monthly wholesale electricity prices in Czechia 2019-2023

In November 2023, the average wholesale electricity price in Czechia stood at some 92.9 euros per megawatt-hour, a year-over-year decrease of over 50 percent. Between January 2021 and August 2022, prices increased by more than nine-fold to peak at 476 euros per megawatt-hour, the consequence of an energy supply shortage that severely impacted Europe.
