According to a global study conducted in the fourth quarter of 2024, city breaks were the most popular holiday type for affluent consumers who were likely to visit Europe within the following year. Overall, roughly 36 percent of respondents mentioned this type of trip. Meanwhile, 29 percent of the sample reported being likely to take a sightseeing or touring holiday in the region.
