China: passenger throughput of ports 2015-2022, by port type
In 2022, China's river ports handled less than four million passengers, representing a drop of more than two-thirds from the previous year. Passenger throughput at China's inland river ports has been declining in the last decade, with particularly pronounced falls after 2019.
