China: proposed new solar power capacity by province 2022

Gansu is expected to see the greatest solar power capacity additions of any Chinese province. As of May 2022, Gansu had pledged to reach 16,015 megawatts of solar power capacity by 2025, of which 1,355 megawatts was in the proposal or construction phase. By comparison, Zhejiang has by far the largest operational solar power capacity of any province in China, at roughly 43,000 megawatts.
