Africa: access to the electric grid 2011-2021

On average, nearly 70 percent of the population in Africa lived in enumeration areas with access to an electric grid. The proportion considered 30 countries surveyed in the region. During the period observed, the share of enumeration areas served by an electric grid has minimally improved. The accessibility varied greatly among African countries.
