Number of railway passengers with commuter tickets in Japan FY 2021, by rail operator
In the fiscal year 2021, the major private railway companies were the operators with the most passengers using fixed-term commuter tickets, carrying roughly 4.67 billion of those passengers. While other operators recorded higher traffic than the previous year, the Japan Railways Companies lost fixed-term ticket customers.
