Nigeria: main sources of news 2022

Online news sources, including social media, are used by the majority of the people in Nigeria. In a survey conducted between January and February 2022, the share of respondents consuming news online reached 95 percent. Social media was exclusively used by nearly 80 percent of the respondents. Moreover, 61 percent of the surveyed population used television to access news.
