Inflation rate in Mexico July 2023, by expenditure category
The National Consumer Price Index gauges the price changes in a basket of goods and services representative of Mexican households' consumption. In May 2023, the inflation rate of Mexico compared to the same month of the previous year reached 5.84 percentage points. The expenditure category that experienced the largest year-on-year increase in prices was for other services, whose CPI grew 9.55 percent. Health and personal care ranked third, with an inflation rate of 8.1 percent.
