Perceived ideology of the U.S. Supreme Court in 2023, by party
A January 2023 survey found that 19 percent of Democrats would describe the United States Supreme Court as having a moderate political ideology, whereas 42 percent of Republicans would say the same. However, 37 percent of Democrats described the Supreme Court as very conservative, to which seven percent of Republicans and 29 percent of Independents agreed.
