Chemical industry emissions in Canada 2020, by pollutant
In 2020, the chemical industry in Canada emitted over six million metric tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, making it by far the leading pollutant. Emissions from air pollutants like nitrogen oxides and sulfur dioxide amounted to some 9.3 and 6.5 thousand metric tons, respectively.
