Electricity access rate in Tunisia 2000-2020, by area
In 2020, the entire population of Tunisia had access to electricity both in urban as well as rural areas. In rural areas, electricity access has increased from 2000 onwards, gradually bridging the gap between areas of residence. For instance, in 2000, 86.03 percent of the rural households could access electrical energy in the country, compared to 99.86 percent of the urban population.
