As of 2017, around 34 percent of Black, non-Hispanic adults with active epilepsy in the United States were in families having problems paying their medical bills, compared to around 26 percent of white, non-Hispanic adults with active epilepsy. This statistic illustrates the percentage of adults with epilepsy in the United States who lived in families with problems paying medical bills in 2015 and 2017, by race and ethnicity.
