Share of European women's soccer league players who earn a living from soccer 2021
Unlike any other women's soccer league in Europe, all players in the highest Spanish soccer league earned a monthly salary that they considered their primary source of income in May 2021. The FA Women's Super League in England also ranked highly, with 91 percent of all players having soccer as their primary source of income. Only four percent of players in the Icelandic and Swiss leagues earned a living from the sport.
