Representation of marginalized groups in superhero films according to Gen Z U.S. 2021
In 2021, half of American Gen Z consumers thought that superhero movies should have more female leading characters. That same year, about a quarter of the respondents stated that LGBTQ+ people should be less represented in superhero franchises.
