In 2023, over 60 percent of surveyed consumers in the United Kingdom (UK) said they had not adopted a more sustainable lifestyle in the past 12 months because doing so was too expensive. This is an increase compared to the previous iteration of the survey which took place in 2022. There was also a heightened lack of interest in the issue of sustainability and more people believing adopting a sustainable lifestyle would not make a difference.
