Change in breast cancer screenings before and during COVID-19 in Italy 2019 vs 2020
According to the data, the COVID-19 pandemic strongly affected the number of screenings for breast cancer in Italy. Indeed, screenings decreased 37.6 percent in 2020 in respect to the previous year. This decrease was the greatest in the months from January to May, with an almost 54 percent decrease.
