Brazil: number of births 2021

After the year 2020, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, in which 2.7 million live births were registered in Brazil, this indicator saw a decline in 2021 to 2.6 million, the lowest value since 1994. The peak in the number of births was recorded in 1999, with a total of 3.3 million births, after which a downward trend began.
