Median age of 1978-1988 generation at various stages of adult life in France 2013/14
According to a study conducted between 2013 and 2014 by the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) and the National Institute of Demographic Studies (INED), at that time, half of the women born between 1978 and 1988 finished their studies before 19.83 years of age, while the median age of completion for their male counterparts was 19.67 years. The largest gap concerned first cohabitation as a couple. The median age of women in this generation was 22.52 years, compared to almost 25 years for men.
