Distribution of PHAs installed via the Google Play Store 2022, by type
Between October and December 2022, installs of potentially harmful applications (PHAs) via the Google Play Store represented over 0.1 percent of all app installs on the platform. Of all the PHAs installs, 72 percent contained privilege escalation. An additional 13 percent contained spyware, while six percent of the total contained trojan malware.
