Land cover change in Brazil 1985-2022, by habitat and use

The savanna land area in Brazil decreased by roughly 22 percent between 1985 and 2022. While natural vegetation coverage decreased, agriculture and livestock land coverage increased. In the period of consideration, forest plantation land use saw the most noticeable growth, with a nearly 5-fold increase.
