Sweden: opinion on whether gender equality has gone too far

In Sweden, nearly one third of the respondents in a survey from 2024 either strongly agreed or somewhat agreed with the statement that things have gone so far when it comes to equality between men and women that men are being discriminated against. More than 40 percent of the men questioned agreed with the statement, compared to less than 20 percent of women. More than 60 percent of the Swedish population disagreed with the statement.
