African countries with the highest mineral rents as a share of GDP 2020
Sudan registered the highest mineral rents as a share of GDP on the African continent in 2020. That year, mineral rents were close to 19 percent of the GDP. The Democratic Republic of Congo and Mali followed with around 18 percent and 16 percent of the GDP, respectively.
