France: activity sector by migration status

In 2019, the activity sector that employed the most migrant people in France was wholesale and retail trade, transport, accommodation and food services, with nearly 690,000 people in employment. Conversely, the sector in which the most non-migrants were employed was public administration, education, health and social work, with about 7.8 million people.
In 2020, the employment rate of migrants was 59.2 percent, eight percentage points lower than that of people with no migration background.
