The armed forces personnel in Russia represented nearly two percent of the total labor force of the country in 2020. The share of military manpower in Russia's workforce saw an increase between 2014 and 2015. Over the observed period, the figure was the highest in 1997, when it stood at approximately 2.6 percent.
