Battery storage new installations in Europe 2016-2029

New battery storage installations in Europe added up to three gigawatts in 2021, more than double the figure recorded a year earlier. By 2029, annual installations in the region are expected to surpass seven gigawatts. Meanwhile, cumulative battery storage capacity in Europe is forecast to surpass 55 gigawatts by the following year.
