
Smartphone users' main search sources for online shopping in Latin America 2022
In 2022, Latin American smartphone users researched products predominantly on online marketplaces, retailer websites, and apps before making purchasing decisions. According to a survey conducted in nine countries across the region, close to 43 percent of respondents said they consulted these sources to find information about a product before buying it online. Furthermore, 41.4 percent of mobile users researched items on social media and influencer accounts, and 35 percent used popular search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and Bing.
