Cyber insurance premiums earned vs loss ratio in the U.S. 2015-2021
The loss ratio for standalone cyber insurance policies in the United States dropped by seven percent between 2020 and 2021. In 2021, the loss ratio was 65 percent, down from 72 percent a year earlier. The loss ratio was calculated by dividing the direct losses and defense costs by the premiums earned.
