Board diversity at the largest UK banks 2024, by gender
Gender diversity on the board of directors varied significantly among the largest banks in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2024. At the 10 largest UK banks, the share of female directors was, on average, 39.7 percent. There was only one bank, Nationwide Building Society, where the majority of board directors were women. The lowest share of female board directors was seen at Metro Bank, where 71.4 percent of the directors were men.
