Number of financial institutions Vietnam 2020, by type
In 2020, there were 1,181 financial institutions falling under the category of people's credit funds in Vietnam. The country also recorded around 50 subsidiaries of foreign banks and 28 joint-stock commercial banks in the same year. By comparison, there were four microfinance institutions in Vietnam that year.
