In 2021, an average of 62.2 percent of the employment share in the Philippines were wage and salary workers. Meanwhile, 28.1 percent were self-employed and the remaining 7.3 percent were classified as unpaid family workers. The employment rate in the Philippines in that year was estimated at 92.2 percent.
