SEA: leading modes of transportation by country 2022

According to a survey conducted in Southeast Asian countries in February 2022, private motorcycles were by far the most used transportation mode in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. In contrast, zero percent of the respondents in Singapore stated private motorcycles as their main mode of transportation. In Singapore and the Philippines, public transport was the most common transportation mode. Over 56 percent of the respondents in Malaysia preferred private automobiles over any other means of transportation.
