Beef cattle and buffalo meat demand Indonesia 2022, by island
In 2022, the total demand of beef cattle and buffalo meat in Java, Indonesia amounted to 500.43 thousand metric tons. The red meat demand in Java Island was almost six times higher than of Sumatra Island. The demand for the read meat in Indonesia has been steadily increasing in the past years, while the meat supply has not been able to cover its demand.
