In 2022, Latin America and the Middle East and North Africa were the world regions with the lowest level of distribution of wealth worldwide, with the richest ten percent holding nearly 76 percent of the total wealth. On the other hand, in Europe and Oceania, the richest ten percent held around 60 percent of the wealth. East and South Asia were the regions where the poorest half of the population held the highest share of the wealth, but still only just above five percent, underlining the high levels of wealth inequalities worldwide.
