Aquaculture share in fish and seafood production in China 1980-2020
In 2020, the share of aquaculture in the total production volume of fish and seafood (excluding algae) in China reached approximately 79 percent. This percentage has grown gradually over the years. The total production volume of of aquatic animals from both aquaculture and capture fishing reached 62.85 million metric tons in 2020.
