LNG import value into the U.S. 2016-2021, by country
In 2021, the United States imported nearly 949.5 million U.S. dollars worth of liquefied natural gas. This represents an increase of 54.5 percent in comparison to the previous year. In the period of consideration, figures oscillated, peaking at 965.5 million U.S. dollars in 2019. The U.S. is the third-largest exporting country of LNG in the world, behind Australia and Qatar.
