Hotel market share in first-tier cities in China 2022, by category
In 2022, budget hotels occupied the largest share of the hotel market in first-tier cities in China, accounting for nearly 37 percent. Mid-end hotels and mid-to-high-end hotels ranked second and third with around 25 percent and ten percent market share respectively. In 2022, the top three hotel brands in first-tier cities were Hanting Hotel, 7 Days Hotel, and Home Inn.
