During an online survey conducted among adults in the United States in November 2021, almost four out of five (or 79 percent) of respondents part of Generation Z reported drinking soda almost always or sometimes when they watched a film in a theater. Among responding Baby Boomers, that share stood below 60 percent. In the U.S. and Canada, an average of over one-third of the revenue of the cinema chains came from selling food and beverage, known in the cinema market as concessions.
