The gender gap in mobile money account ownership in Nigeria reached 46 percent in 2021, exceeding that of the other selected African countries. In Egypt and Senegal, the share stood at 35 percent and 14 percent, respectively. In all the countries considered here, the mobile money account ownership rate was highest among men compared to women.
