In the United States, mental health affordability varied for individuals depending on their sexual orientation. From 2013 to 2018, the share of bisexual individuals unable to afford mental health counseling were significantly higher than for heterosexual and homosexual individuals. Gay men and lesbian women were less able to afford mental health counseling than heterosexuals individuals.
