A survey conducted in 2022 revealed that the majority of Turkish people thought Turkey should switch to using more solar and wind energy to not be dependent on imported energy sources. Moreover, fossil energy sources such as petrol and coal were also suggested by 30 and 15 percent of the respondents, respectively.
