Fact-checking of information by French teenagers 2022, by frequency
A study on teenage news consumption in France conducted in October 2022 found that fact-checking is not a frequent habit when dealing with habits. 20 percent of responding teenagers stated to often fact-check information they received, while 24 percent do so before sharing information. By contrast, around the same share stated to never do so, neither when receiving (20 percent) nor before sharing (27 percent).
