Europe: Who are electric bikes for? 2022
When asked who e-bikes are for in an August 2022, respondents from twelve European countries predominantly answered environmentally-conscious people and commuters. Another often-cited target group in countries including Austria, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands are elderly people. Parents were generally less likely to be perceived as e-bike users, with only just over a fifth of respondents believing that electric bikes were for parents.
