Throughout 2021, the information technology (IT) sector spent approximately two billion U.S. dollars on static display advertising in the United States, up 52 percent from 1.3 billion dollars a year earlier. Despite the annual growth, the 2021 figure amounted to less than 83 percent of the 2.4-billion-dollar expenditure seen in 2019.
