A survey conducted among Australian shoppers in October 2023 revealed that Gen X consumers were expected to spend the most on Christmas presents during the holiday period, with an estimated average spend per person of around 408 Australian dollars. In comparison, Gen Z's average spend on presents was estimated to come to around 281 Australian dollars.
