¹ Persons in communities of need, according to SGB II, include employable beneficiaries, non-employable beneficiaries, other beneficiaries (e.g. persons with only social security subsidies) as well as persons not entitled to beneficiaries (e.g. pensioners, children without individual entitlement to benefits).

² Figures for 2022 are an average from January to October. 

Figures preceding 2015 and the final information up to September 2016 were taken from the Federal Employment Agency’s monthly report for December 2016 (page 105). Figures from October 2016 onwards (the given average values result from the individual monthly values) were taken from the individual monthly reports for 2017 to 2022.
