As of May 2023, the share of accommodation businesses in Europe that described their access to financing and capital as "very difficult" was 19 percent. Meanwhile, 34 percent of businesses were neutral with regard to their access to financing and capital.

* 80 respondents were interviewed from each country and region which included Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Nordics (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland), Portugal, Spain, as well as 200 respondents each from the Netherlands and the rest of Europe (Poland, Romania, Belgium, Czechia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Ireland, Croatia).
