As of 2017, the Ressano Garcia rail network (connecting Mozambique and South Africa) had the largest railcar capacity in the Southern African Development Community (SADC), accommodating 1,000 railcars per day. Nacala (in Mozambique), Tazara (between Tanzania and Zambia), and North-South followed with a daily capacity reaching 350, 260, and 260 railcars, respectively.
